Oil the cables

We have noticed a significant increase in cable life by simply lubbing or oiling your throttle and clutch cables. We suggest doing this with a specific lube just for cables but have seen it done successfully with products like WD-40. The reason for oiling throttle and clutch cables is because the plastic housing is actually metal on the inside. Of course the cable is metal too and metal on metal doesn’t last very long. There are sever tools to do this with but usually just spraying lube in one end of an un-attached cable will allow it to run all the way down the length of the cable. We recommend doing this every 1-2 months and even sooner if you are riding a lot. We consider it another cheap insurance policy for your cables.
